Tomshoo Wood Burning Camping Stove

Review:

Competition is fierce in the wood burning camping stove arena. The Tomshoo Wood Burning Camping Stove has iterated upon the existing wood burning stoves and fixed some of the common issues found in their competitors. The stove accepts all the natural fuel sources--leaves, twigs, and wood--as well as solidified alcohol.  Unique to the Tomshoo Wood Burning Camping Stove is a third layer they called the Pot Supporter which has an opening to feed the fire as the cooking process continues.  Their Pot Cross Stand also allows for any size container to be used as pot.

The Tomshoo Wood Burning Camping Stove assembled size is 13.8 * 17.5cm / 5.4 * 6.9in (D * H).  It folds down to 13.8 * 7cm / 5.4 * 2.8in (D * H) and weighs 1 pound.

The only difference between using natural fuel and solidified alcohol is to flip base plate upside down and placing the alcohol plate above the pot supporter.  It has been suggested to keep feeding small sticks into the stove to maintain a consistent flame.

Pros:

Dual purpose barbecue and cooking.
Small, lightweight for easy traveling.
Opening to feed fire without stopping cooking.

Cons:

Lack of plate below to catch falling embers.
Unable to adjust flame strength besides choosing to or not to feed the fire.
